What do I need to start driving?

• Valid driver's licence and clean driving record
• At least 25 years old
• At least 4 years of verifiable driving experience in Canada
• No major or serious driving convictions, and no more than 3 minor convictions in the past 3 years
• No more than 1 at-fault claim in the past 3 years, and no more than 3 claims in the past 6 years
• No more than 1 insurance cancellation for non-payment in the past 3 years
• Personal vehicle insurance, including the SEF 1-45 endorsement (see below)
• Background check (we handle this during signup)
• A vehicle that meets our standards (see below)

What are the vehicle requirements?

Your vehicle must:

• Be registered in your name and carry valid insurance
• Be a 4-door sedan, SUV, or minivan
• Be a model year within the last 10 years
• Have 200,000 km or less on the odometer
• Have a valid provincial safety certificate
• Have a working seat belt for every seat
• Be in good physical condition with no noticeable cosmetic damage
• Have snow tires or all-weather tires installed from November 1 through April 30
